Fifteen years after Bad Boys 2, the two actors got together to officially announce that Bad Boys 3 is happening.
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence celebrated the confirmation of a third film from the Bad Boys franchise yesterday on Instagram. In a video published on Will Smith's account, the two actors exclaimed: "It's official, baby!"
Bad Boys 3 was initially scheduled for January 2018. The release was then pushed back to November 2018, before the project was suspended after director Joe Carnahan quit due to clashes with other film shoots. It seems that a final release date has now been set: January 17 2020.
The first Bad Boys movie was released in 1995, followed by Bad Boys 2 in 2003. The third installment will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, based on a script by Chris Bremner. The cast is still to be confirmed.
