Here's What Henry Cavill Looks Like As Geralt In 'The Witcher' Series

Legolas from The Lord of the Rings? Lucius Malfoy from Harry Potter? Lagertha from Vikings? Nope, it's Geralt of Rivia!

The suspense is finally over. We now know what the flesh and blood hero of The Witcher will look like. The series currently being developed by Netflix, which cast Henry Cavill two months ago, has finally revealed the actor's new look… without the mustache this time. In a short teaser shared by Netflix on its Twitter account, he appears before us, emerging from the darkness, before having a drink... because dehydration is a serious problem, ya know?

We don't know much about this series adaptation of the video game saga for the moment, apart from the names of the team who will bring the monster hunter to life: Lauren S. Hissrich will act as showrunner, Alik Sakharov (Game of Thrones) will direct four of the eight episodes, and Alex Garcia Lopez (Fear the Walking Dead) and Charlotte Brändström (Outlander) will divide the other four between them.

Henry Cavill will be accompanied by Freya Allan, who will play Ciri, and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer. The first season of The Witcher will comprise 8 episodes which retrace the events of the first two books, Sword of Destiny and The Last Wish.
